چکیده

Abstract In recent years the word sustainability has become a priority of many researchers. this regard, evolutions were put forth in concrete industry one them is Geopolymer concrete. Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) used as source material which rich alumina and silica contents, forms silicate gel when mixed with an alkali solution sodium hydroxide then binds aggregate. Till now researchers had done research on using Fly ash major binding material. Literature also available GGBS but behaviour was not studied widely by varying binder ratio. research, based studied, replacing fly 0%, 10%, 20% 30% solution/binder (s/b) ratio 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 0.6. The mix proportions prepared taking 1:1:3 weight all specimens cured at ambient temperature. Mechanical properties such compressive strength, tensile strength flexure determined. A sulphate attack test conducted. As quantity FA increased, decreased.

“Ground Granulated Blast Slag (GGBS) In Concrete – A Review”

Concrete is a mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. Concrete plays a vital role in the development of infrastructure Viz., buildings, industrial structures, bridges and highways etc. leading to utilization of large quantity of concrete. On the other side, cost of concrete is attributed to the cost of its ingredients which is scarce and expensive, this leading to usage o...
